    Minleon C9 retrofit bulb

Posted by R.G. Wood on 20th Nov 2020

Minleon C9 3-SMD retrofit bulbs provide output intensity similar to other brands of commercial single SMD C9 bulbs but emit a wider cone of light dispersion, so are more visible over a greater distance. The colors are highly saturated with the exception that the green bulbs received have an output wavelength that looks much more like teal. Some bulbs received were date-coded as 2019 versions that have a traditional solder button center contact but others were 2020 versions that have a new metal center contact within a slotted plastic insulator. The newer contact configuration may be less prone to corrosion in damp conditions.

I was very pleased how bright and colorful these C9 bulbs are compared to the incandescent C9 bulbs I had. I threw them all away.
